Tutoring does not happen in a vacuum. It exists within systems shaped by culture, power, and access. During this interactive session, we will explore the culturally responsive teaching model and cultural competence continuum as tools for understanding how we can use strengths-based, appreciative inquiry to best understand and support students. Participants will engage in reflections, activities, and discussions to consider how recognizing cultural wealth can strengthen peer education practices.
Attend from 3-4pm, or stay from 4-4:30 for more practice and discussion time.
